An automatic snus packing machine converts prepared snus material and filter web into consistently dosed, sealed pouches. Understanding each stage helps manufacturers select the right machine configuration and production capacity.
1. Material feeding
The process starts with controlled feeding of the product and non-woven filter material. Stable feeding is important because inconsistent material flow can affect fill weight and pouch quality.
2. Dosing
A controlled dosing system measures the required quantity for each pouch. The dosing method should be selected around the product’s density, moisture and target weight.
3. Pouch forming
The filter web is formed around the dosed product. Machine settings are adjusted for pouch width, length and the required finished format.
4. Sealing and cutting
The formed pouch is sealed and separated. Depending on the application, manufacturers can evaluate heat sealing or ultrasonic sealing technology.
5. Inspection and downstream packaging
Finished pouches can be transferred to counting, can filling, closing, labelling, checkweighing and metal-detection equipment as required.

Choosing the right machine
Before selecting equipment, define target pouches per minute, pouch dimensions, fill weight, filter material, sealing method and downstream packaging requirements. See the automatic snus pouch packing machine range or return to the Snus packing machine manufacturer page.
